AN AUTHOR TO AUTHOR Q&A PART I
Brooke asked Lyra 5 random questions and here are her answers. Enjoy!
Q1. If you could perform in any broadway musical, which one would it be and which character would you play? And why?
Easy! Moulin Rouge. I’d want to play Satine. I adore the love story and the music is on point. It just seems like it would be an amazing show to perform with big sets and lighting.
Q2. If you had to move out of Texas, which state or country would you go to?
It would be between Colorado and Wyoming. I think I’d choose Wyoming though because there are zero state taxes and you still get amazing mountainscapes. Plus, Yellowstone is right there!
Q3. I drop a stray dog off at your house so you have to keep it. What do you name it?
Snoopy or Odie, just because naming animals after animals in cartoons is fun. 😂 But, if it had spots or stripes, I’d probably find something related. If it were a black dog, I’d name it Mando, after Mandelorian. I’m a nerd. I know.
Q4. What’s the first romance book you read?
The Notebook by Nicolas Sparks, and trust me, 15 year old me was pissed at the end of it. Even then I knew it should’ve had a happily ever after, and to me, it didn’t. Years later the movie released and I decided to give it another shot—nope. Was still disappointed with the ending. Totally not for me.
Q5. You’ve been voted in as the first woman President of the USA. Who’s your VP?
In this dream scenario, I’d have Barack as my VP. Why? Because I love him.
Thanks, Obama 😝
LIGHTNING ROUND QUESTIONS:
GLAMPING OR VAN LIFE?
Probably Glamping because you have everything you need.
COLORFUL NAILS OR DARK NAILS?
Depends on the season! Colorful in spring/summer. Dark every other time.
DRIVE OR FLY?
Funny asking a Texan that. 😂 I’d rather fly though because it wastes less time (usually).
BEACH OR CABIN?
IN THE KITCHEN COOKING OR AT THE TABLE WAITING?
I’d rather wait. 😂
COKE OR PEPSI?
Neither! I don’t drink sodas. Sweet tea!
FAVORITE YOUTUBE CHANNEL TO BINGE-WATCH?
Alex is Shook. He’s a drama channel and only covers 2-3 people. But he’s entertaining.
AN AUTHOR TO AUTHOR Q&A PART II
Lyra asked Brooke 5 random questions and here are her answers. Enjoy!
Q1. If you could only eat the same meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Steak and baked potato
Q2. If you could tell your teenage self anything, what would it be?
It’s okay to leave toxic friendships behind.
Q3. If you could spend one day being the main character in any movie, which would you choose?
Jenna Rink from 13 Going on 30. Who wouldn’t want to be able to live their adult future for a few days and then be able to change the outcome for the better?!
Q4. What is one of your favorite childhood memories?
Driving to Florida and going to Disney World with my parents and grandparents. I was around 8 or 9 at the time and it was the last family vacation we had before my parents split. I haven’t been back since but I know it was a special time when we were all together.
Q5. What is one of the best pieces of advice you’ve ever been given?
Nothing is forever, circumstances are only temporary. Don’t stress about the things you cannot control.
Q6. If you could have one wish come true, what would it be?
I’d wish for my husband’s chronic pain to disappear forever.
